Mendip Roofing Contractors recently completed a full roofing project for Mr Addicott at his property on Charlton Road in Radstock. Mr Addicott first discovered us through one of our local magazine directory listings and contacted us for a quotation after struggling to find a roofer willing to take on the work. Access around the property was restricted, making traditional scaffolding impractical without affecting neighbouring properties and road access. As the work involved a relatively low kitchen extension, our experienced team was able to plan a safe and practical approach using ladders while carefully managing all working-at-height requirements.

The project involved installing a full new roof and addressing several existing issues, including removing a poorly installed lead gully that had split. We installed a new fibreglass Cure It system across the valley area, along with two new Velux windows. The roof was finished using Marley Mendip tiles in 02 Brown, with new ridge and verge work completed in cement. We also installed new leadwork behind the existing render, before repairing the affected areas and finishing them with masonry paint. Beneath the tiles, we fitted a Tyvek breathable membrane, RTA roll-out trays and new undercloak to provide a robust roofing system designed for long-term protection.
